The expected salary range for this position is $133,900.00 - $167,350.00. Employees in specific high cost of labor locations in the United States (such as San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA) may qualify for a geographic differential. This senior relationship manager develops, builds, and manages a portfolio of high net worth prospective and current donors in order to meet Compassion's annual and long-term revenue goals. In addition, she or he further builds complex, customized activities to further engage constituents with Compassion's ministry. At this career level, she or he leads or conducts major, complex donor strategies for very large initiatives including a comprehensive campaign. Further, she or he may coach relationship managers and leadership to prep for 7 figure solicitations. What will you do? Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer. Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur. Serves as a key leader and subject matter expert in professional fundraising environment with particular emphasis on qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of high-level, high-dollar donors and constituents of Compassion's ministry. Actively advances growth and is accountable for achieving revenue goals established by leadership. Responsible for designing and leading unique fundraising and cultivation strategies for the purpose of generating revenue, identifying prospects, and acquiring 7 figure gift commitments. Serves as a lead advocate on behalf of Compassion's ministry of Christian child development to audiences such as current and prospective principal donors. Drives engagement and builds strong relationships with planned portfolio of constituents through regular personal visits, phone calls, proposals, presentations, and other correspondence. Ensures high level stewardship and reporting are provided in a thoughtful manner. Serves as key participant and leader for Compassion at donor events, meeting and may have some trips abroad to show donors the impact of their giving. What do you bring? Bachelor's Degree in a related field. A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience working in major and principal gifts. Proficient in making multi-year 7-9 figure asks. Must be familiar with campaign methodology and asking for multi-year pledges. Must have the ability to suggest strategies for making blended asks involving cash, business, asset giving and estates. Must be able to effectively communicate ROI and other success measures using business acumen to establish a rapport with seasoned executives.
